by | Oct 14, 2016 | News

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Medocity, Inc. and the VNA Health Group combined forces to showcase Innovation in Home Care at the recently concluded Aging 2.0 conference. Topics covered during a lively panel discussion included the accelerating adoption of home care technologies enabling more responsive, proactive coordinated care and remote patient monitoring.

Medocity’s VP of Home Health, Cathy Guttman, noted that the growth of risk-bearing reimbursement plans has made it more important than ever to streamline visits and focus on patient outcomes. With the use of technology, patients are empowered to take charge of their care. Virtual care solutions enable clinicians to have access to their patients through secure communications. And, patient-reported health data can generate valuable insights.

“With a technology like Medocity’s Home Health platform, home care providers can attain key measures in quality of care and patient satisfaction,” Guttman explained. “Furthermore, with an integrated platform, sharing data across multidisciplinary care teams enhances alignment, connectivity and transitions of care across the post-discharge continuum.”

Fellow panelists included:
Robert Rosati, Chair, Connected Health Institute, VNA Health Group
Mark Aspenson, CEO, Avery Telehealth and Chris Willis, Care Coordinator, Visiting Angels
Sharon LeDuy, General Counsel, Honor and Paul Gordon, Partner, Hanson Bridgett
John Fraser, CTO and Sara Aschenbrener, General Manager, LifeSprk
