Medocity for Cigna launches to provide real-time digital capabilities for COVID-19 positive members
PARSIPPANY, N.J., May 14, 2020
Medocity is pleased to announce a new partnership with Cigna providing its members access to an innovative digital platform for COVID-19 self-support and connected care. The innovative solution, Medocity for Cigna, has launched and is available for Cigna members who are experiencing mild to moderate COVID-19 symptoms and those who are actively recovering at home. Members can access the platform using mobile phones, tablets, or computers, enabling them to track their progress, connect with care advocates, and access behavioral and emotional support resources in real-time. As the first of its kind, the platform is also actively focused on helping to identify members at greater risk from the effects of coronavirus — those who have underlying comorbidities such as diabetes, respiratory, and heart disease.
The Medocity for Cigna solution is a natural extension of Medocity’s COVID-19 platform, launched in late March, enabling large-scale population screening, surveillance, remote monitoring, and targeted virtual interventions.
“We’re very proud to be partnering with Cigna on this innovative digital monitoring solution,” said Tom Feitel, who heads Medocity’s global enterprise solutions. With the launch of Medocity for Cigna, we were able to quickly integrate with existing Cigna functionality to deliver a high-impact, real-time care solution for their members. It’s a great example of how our flexible technology can be used to identify patients at risk and drive better outcomes through early interventions.”
